In April Milan becomes a place of extraordinary circulation of ideas and energies. Interni, as always, interprets and promotes the situation
Now in its 21st edition, INTERNI International KingSize offers another year of vivid previews of products, trends, forms and materials that will be the protagonists of the Saloni and the over 400 events of the FuoriSalone. The new items are presented in thematic sections: Home, Complements, Light, along with a selection of the most promising Young Designers on the international scene: AquiliAlberg (Italy), Simone Cagnazzo (Italy), Dunja Weber (Luxembourg/Italy), Enrico Cesana (Italy), Jonathan Olivares (USA), Mikko Laakkonen (Finland), John Sebastian (Denmark), Janne Kyttänen (Finland/Holland), Emiliana Design/Ana Mir+Emili Padrós (Spain), Vicente García Jiménez (Spain/Italy), Takashi Kirimoto (Japan/Italy), 5.5 designers (France), Pastorino&Suarez (Argentina/Italy). In April Milan becomes a place of extraordinary circulation of ideas and energies. Interni, as always, interprets and promotes the situation with a major event in the courtyards of the Università degli Studi of Milan, the 15th-century Ca’ Granda – former Ospedale Maggiore: INTERNI DESIGN ENERGIES. The exhibition sheds light on the creative processes of Italian and international designers and architects invited to work on the theme of the use of energy, seen as a natural resource, but also as a part of design expression. A series of installations for a grand experimental, spectacular composition, with the active support of companies in the fields of design, architecture and new tools for energy production. The protagonists of this ‘green mood’, based on commitment, responsibility and visionary spirit, are: Fernando&Humberto Campana, Mauricio Cardenas, David Chipperfield, Mario Cucinella, Michele De Lucchi, Massimo Iosa Ghini, Marco Piva, Rudy Ricciotti, Marc Sadler, Luca Trazzi, Patricia Urquiola. An ideal vantage point for viewing the temporary works of architecture on display can be found at the Energy Islands set up in the Loggiato on the first floor of the Cortile d’Onore: places to meet and relax, to experience the most eco-emotional dimension of design. KingSize, Event, FuoriSalone Guide, ZeeMilano Guide, Interni and Interni/Panorama Magazine are the publications that INTERNI, as an Integrated System of Communication, makes available to the international design community, as tools for orientation in the creative Babel of Milan Design Capital® 2009.
