Concept
“The environment is no longer a momentary fashion but a necessity for the survival of our planet. Architecture in the near future, the one I intend to develop, will be in tune with the ethical foundations of design. Research into light, air, space, wellness. My architecture leaves more green and open spaces, especially at ground level, and will consist of parts which can be assembled, recycled, which are dynamic and changing. Architecture for better experiencing the house, the office, the hotel. Architecture that integrates functions, that combines and harmonizes. Architecture which utilizes less matter, less energy, which consumes less, utilizing “other energies”, locally available, in a targeted way. The Design of the single parts and of the energy systems plays a fundamental role in my vision of architecture and this is why I simultaneously work at the various scales of the project to make innovative and liveable works. My architecture expresses itself through two sensitive skins; the external one is protective, reactive to the environment, expressive and speaks with the context, while the interior one is sensitive, exciting, close, tactile and colourful”.
Project
Steel and polycarbonate tower.
Height of the installation 9.45 m – Base surface 7 m x 7 m.
The Tower is covered by 160 plates in shiny polished steel supported by elements in transparent polycarbonate (Nuova Oxidal). The inside space is characterized by mirror polycarbonate sheets and iridescent colour panels. The illumination comes with LED systems and Murano glass spheres. The installation is completed by outdoor loudspeakers with integrated photovoltaic panels.
De Castelli
The project makes full use of the expressive potential of new architecturally oriented metal alloys. A high tower with an external skin in shiny polished steel, on which the arches of the historic Loggia of the Milan University are reflected, and a lower belt in Corten steel. The mastery of craftwork is combined with the use of the most innovative processing techniques.
Oikos
The project enables Oikos, a company producing decorative paints, to best express its own way to interpret surfaces and their finishes, inspiring to an original colour design style model, for the establishment of real environmental wellbeing , both inside and outside.
Pedrali
The new Miss_You seat designed by Marco Piva for Pedrali is included in the Limitless Colour Tower installation to symbolize completely environmentally friendly contemporary furniture and, in fact, this product can be fully recycled thanks to the adoption of new processing techniques.
VDA
VDA is a multinational company in the field of design and manufacturing of automation systems for hotels and social centres as well as interactive TV and IPTV systems. In this project, its Vitrum product gives the opportunity to manage and monitor all the existing technological systems from a single workstation.
