Concept
South Face is the result of this constant search for sustainable design that has to do with the real production systems present on the market.
A portion of architecture is represented by a solution of a modular insulated wall composed by Ductal® elements that can support lush and spectacular vegetation. The green façade is a true vertical garden absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere and thermally insulating the environment that it encloses.
This natural wall, together with a wooden deck substained by a laminate wooden beam, creates a sustainable, beautiful and possible.

Project

Installation height: 4 m – Base area 9 m x 4.5 m.
Components:
Module consisting of elements with vertical green Ductal, size: 3.80 m x 1.40 m x h 4 m (3 modules used for the installation). Laminate wood beam, size: 0.4 m x 0.4 m x h 4.30 m (beam used for the installation with appropriate sleepers and metal structure).
Platform with informal seat in shaped wood, size: 2 m x 4 m x h 0.45 m Vertical garden: arborescent species of several types and substrate.

Il Cantiere

Using Ductal® by Lafarge, the company Il Cantiere has developed an insulating wall system with a strongly innovative line and concept derived from a project by Massimo Iosa Ghini. Resulting from the most recent research works, Ductal® is a very high-tech material that, with its extraordinary technical characteristics, is perfectly suited to create soft shapes. Il Cantiere holds exclusive know-how to shape and enhance this splendid material.

Vitrani
The desire to create a sustainable installation with a strong aesthetic impact laid the foundations for the cooperation between Vitrani and Massimo Iosa Ghini. Supported by its high craftsmanship quality, combined with its extraordinary organization skills and its excellence in the choice of materials, Vitrani has succeeded in creating a wooden platform with fluid seats shaped on the surface that complement and enrich the installation.

Murano Due-FDV
In Murano Due, brand division of the FDV Group, the thousand year tradition in glass processing meets the most modern and sophisticated techniques to manufacture artistic lighting objects which are highly decorative, spectacular and refined.
