Regione Lombardia, the region where most of Italian design products are made, and Promos, the Special agency of the Milan Chamber of Commerce for International Activities, are pleased to announce “Water Air”. To open in conjunction with the 2008 International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York City. Organized in partnership with MACEF-Fiera Milano International, CLAC - Centro Legno Arredo Cantù, this limited-time exhibition will bring the unparalleled excellence and innovation of Italian design and the skills of handicraft companies to New York City’s Soho neighbourhood.
The WaterAir event will showcase more than 80 unique pieces, from chair seats to floor lamps: all “Made in Italy.” Created by more than 40 most famous Italian design companies located in Regione Lombardia, Italy’s heart of design and furniture, many pieces will be shown for the first time in the United States. This event is organized also to promote the 30 companies from Regione Lombardia exhibiting at ICFF with more than 10.000 square feet. The exhibit will feature two of the four elements of the nature,Water and Air. Objects, like lamps, chair seats or even tables, can represent these two elements through their feature of freshness, purity and shine.
