Big plots of land in Brazil are being burnt to make room for the cultivation of sugar cane. Ethanol derives from sugar cane and it is the new fuel to substitute petroleum and therefore its cultivation is very profitable. Marcelo Maimoni’s installation portraies images of these lands and through a tunnel made out off a brick salvaged from the Bryant Park tent shows, pedestrians will be invited through a voyage of testimony of human greed and deceit .
